Actually, when I got back off holiday, I was going to ask about it on
-devel as I'd been trying to figure out what was causing the
regression on my system -- it's not just on MacOS. I couldn't make
any sense of it as, if I recall correctly, the preprocessed result
looked OK and was compiled OK, and I tried various things to find any
logic to what was going on. I can't remember whether I managed to
check with another ghc version or not. I'm using Debian-packaged
version 6.6-3 on Ubuntu and a self-built (I think) vanilla 6.6 on
Solaris.
I suspect it should be asked about in GHC land if no-one here knows
what's going on.
