Thanks for the patches!  I'll have a look over the weekend.

I think we should do this pretty systematically, consulting the users
when we're going to change the UI on them.  I don't know; it could be
taken to extremes and result in devel=>user spam, or drag us into
hairsplit discussions, but it seems like the polite thing to do :-)
