[darcs-devel] Documentation for hashed repo format

Hello,

I have been trying to implement the fix for http://bugs.darcs.net/ 
issue755 for both hashed and darcs-1 repositories, but my attempts to  
get it right for hashed repos keep failing miserably with errors of  
the kind of:

Couldn't fetch  
`0000000072-062d325c1986369925dc51172d852d564744caec33bf234fc2ee451bc47a 
01f5'in subdir patches from sources:
thisrepo:/Users/reinier/Source/tmp

Normally, it seems that patches should be copied by  
write_tentative_inventory, but that's not happening here. Anyway,  
when I try to see what's going on I can find no documentation of  
hashed repositories but the undocumented source code. And while I'll  
probably just work around the issue here by giving up on getting no  
more patches than necessary with hashed repos, the undocumented  
repository format will be a problem for many other potential  
contributors. Now that David is becoming less active, is there ever  
going to be documentation for the hashed format?
