[darcs-devel] [issue1293] spend less time reading, copying, synchronising pristine

I don't know to what extent this is possible, but it would be nicer (for
commands like darcs whatsnew and darcs record) if darcs wouldn't spend so much
time reading, copying from or synchronising pristine.

I guess we can file this under micro-performance.  It takes a few seconds for it
to do this, which is not very long, but long enough to induce a sort of
impatience/frustration.  It would be nice if recording was instantaneous.

Any ideas?
