  * lots of ChangeLog entries to prepare for the 2.0 release.

The ChangeLog work is not yet complete, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to finish
it now, so I'm sharing what I have. A couple entries are marked as "upcoming", which
seems possibly wrong. That could be tracked own if it's critical. The error message
is no help as to which "match" line is related.
