[darcs-devel] [issue759] `darcs optimize --compress` fails on hashed repo

It was pointed out to me eventually that this is because the patches in a hashed
repo are already compressed, however - the error from this command doesn't
really look obvious.

$ darcs optimize --compress
Optimizing compression of patches...
darcs: .: openBinaryFile: inappropriate type (is a directory)
