IIRC, one of the Simons at MSR offered to give free copies of Windows to 
Haskell hackers interested in working on getting better Haskell support 
in Windows.  At the time the offer included hacking on darcs, and was 
highly intended for getting better support for darcs on Windows...  now 
that GHC is moving to git that offer might not be valid anymore, though...

It might be useful to see if that option is still available and if there 
are any interested takers, as darcs discovers new Haskellers in current 
PR, that would help with Windows hacking/performance given a free copy 
of the OS...
