Please keep in mind that if you are using a darcs 2.0 binary on a darcs1
repository that you can't expect the improved semantics of darcs 2.0 to
apply. What this means for you, is that if your repository is still in
darcs1 format, then using the darcs 2.0 binary will give the same behavior
and results as using the darcs 1.x binary.
I don't know if a darcs 2 formatted repository will solve the problems the
GHC repository has with darcs, but until you upgrade your repository you're
still using the known broken algorithms of darcs1.
