[darcs-users] [GNU/Open]/Solaris support and getSymbolicLinkStatus issue (SOLVED)

Hello,

in recent weeks there was some ongoing discussion about darcs Solaris
support and about darcs issues related to the broken
getSymbolicLinkStatus GHC function on this mailing list.

I've gone ahead and give a try to compile GHC (STABLE) myself. After 2
days of failing attempts I've been successful.

So now, I do have working GHC together with much better working darcs
head. As you can see here:

a lot of tests are working, but it seems there are still some issues in
comparison with for example linux.

So simple advice to all darcs/Solaris users is: recompile and install
GHC from its STABLE branch (future 6.8.3 release)
