That's a reasonable response. I was mainly thinking of a safety net for
when it's 3AM and I'm not thinking straight, and I forget to run "make
disttest" before sending. But you're right, really I'm just offloading
patch discipline onto Eric.

I should probably also be more explicit about distinguishing between
draft and final submissions. Maybe (i.e. if I don't forget) I'll adopt
the idiom of using --subject 'draft patch: foo' for such cases.
