We have a mechanism for handling repository features. That's
_darcs/format. As on oversight, we don't have that information in patch
bundles, but the general idea is that darcs knows which features it can
handle so it checks in the remote repo. If the remote repo has a feature
that darcs doesn't understand it gives up and lets the user know.
