I say yes.  I think it's essential for software to use the most  
intuitive language possible.

It might be a bit annoying for existing users, but it will make life  
much better for new users.  And darcs's potential user base is much  
bigger than its existing one, so anything that makes the transition  
easier is worthwhile, IMHO.
