I believe part of the attraction is, if we can't use darcs, who can?  This
is known as dog fooding.  If I'm not mistaken, darcsit has inspired some
improvements in the darcs source.

For what it's worth, I didn't feel like the wiki we used previously fit your
criteria either.  And yes, I agree that having a robust wiki that people can
depend on is important.
