I agree that the name should be understandable, but I also appreciate
the growing internationalization of the community as an intangible but
real benefit.

Just include a What-is-Gorsvet or README.Gorsvet which explains the
choice of name (as well as what the branch is all about).  It doesn't
*need* to be more than two or three lines.

I know not everybody feels as I do, but on the other hand we should
respect an author's right to name her work, and it's a minimal
additional effort to read a short README.
