It's been documented in the GHC discussions, on reddit, and elsewhere. I<br>
would encourage you to look at the darcs-users mailing list archives and the<br>
ghc archives.</blockquote><div><br></div><div>At least regarding GHC and darcs, one significant problem is that GHC used a darcs-1 format repository, which has several known and significant drawbacks. Darcs-2 is much better in this respect. As to why ghc didn't just change to darcs-2, read the archives...</div>
