<html><body><p><font size="2">Hi All,</font><br><br><font size="2">The reason we are particularly vulnerable to network problems is in part due to a huge amount of downloading that happens during a normal fabric build: docker images, git clones, and apt updates, among others. Mirroring would make our automated build process more *reliable*, and *perhaps* faster depending on the circumstances. However, unless the network used to connect to the repo (whether private or public) has sufficient bandwidth, the issue still exists. </font><br><br><font size="2">As an aside, the ubuntu ppc64le repositories are tiny in number, and the default one is in the UK. It sounds like it isn't Power itself, but the network (internet or intranet) causing the slowdown and failed Power verifications? Allen suggesting creating a mirror to pull the images from?
