[darcs-devel] hints on how to debug?

Hi,

I have a darcs pull which is hanging indefinitely and I'd love to
be able to determine where darcs is having problems (I have no
pretensions about determining "why" as yet).

The problem is, I'm new to darcs and new to Haskell, and I have
no idea how to go about debugging such a problem. I've tried the
following:

    (a) building darcs with "hat", the tracing tool; I failed
        to get this to work

    (b) using "ghci", but it looks like it can't really tell me
        anything about what's being evaluated

    (c) adding "prints" to the code, only to be thwarted by my
lack of understanding of Haskell's evaluation

So I'm wondering, how do people debug darcs?

Thanks,

Eric Wallace
