There was an attempt to write an invalid pending!

_darcs/patches/pending_buggy attached. Unfortunately I can't give you
the entire repository, though I can experiment with a snapshot I took
shortly after this happens, if that helps.

 Get now gives nice feedback by default, a continually updating with
feedback
 like:

 --verbose additionally shows the patch IDS, which most people won't
care about.
