When a patch is saved in windows format (for example from an email)
darcs will not recognize it as a valid patch. The reason for this is
that the patch is read with the function FastPackedString.readFilePS
which opens files in binary mode and hence doesn't convert the line
breaks. I'm not sure whether it would be OK to just open the file in
text mode of that would break anything.
