I pulled a patch which created a directory.  I then created some new
files in that directory which were not added.  I decided this was wrong
the next day and (forgetting about the new files) unpulled.  The unpull
sort of succeeded but left the tree in a corrupt state.

I forget the details, I'm sorry.  If this behavior doesn't ring a bell,
ping me and I'll try to replicate.
