As reported by Jesper Reenburg

"You use [[ in you hook script located in the .darcs_bridge folder. I'm
running KDE4 where /bin/sh is symlinked to dash by default, which only
support [ .. ]"

[[ ]] is used for simple checks on the sync script argument, I'm
positive we can use something that is more universally available.
