Just throwing in what I know:

I don't *think* we've ever run mailman ourselves, and I think it'd have
been a big migration that I'd have noticed if OSUOSL had taken it over.
So I more suspect that they've always hosted the lists, but at some
point they changed the default domain associated with them.

Some mail does get handled on our own darcs.net machine, I guess because
OSUOSL forwards it to them.
