  * tests: check upgrade of "not-head" old-style rebase
  
  i.e. that a repository where the rebase container
  patch is not at the head of the repository can still
  be upgraded.
  
  This scenario requires commuting the container before
  the upgrade, which is a code path we want to check
  keeps working while refactoring rebase.
