[darcs-users] buggy darcs_cgi in 0.9.14.15pre-1 ?

My darcs_cgi installation on hermes is misbehaving, and the only relevant
change I can see is that debian upgraded it from 0.9.14 to 0.9.14.15pre-1
. Although I allowed it to replace /etc/darcs/cgi.conf, I was careful to
preserve my changes to that file. I have also checked the permissions on
/var/www/darcs/repos and /var/cache/darcs_cgi

I get a list of repositories (11) to browse, but most (9) of them cannot be
browsed at all, while the others (2) show files and directories, but produce an
error if a file is clicked. I cannot think of anything special about the two
that are semi-browseable. Each error appears in /var/apache/error.log like this:

Fail: does not exist
Action: setCurrentDirectory
Reason: No such file or directory
File:

[Sun Dec 7 14:09:45 2003] [error] [client 192.168.1.1] Premature end of script headers: /usr/lib/cgi-bin/darcs

Fail: does not exist

File:

[Sun Dec 7 14:09:45 2003] [error] [client 192.168.1.4] Premature end of script headers: /usr/lib/cgi-bin/darcs

(it seems to be reported twice). It reminds me of an intermittent error I have
been getting from a cron job that pushes patches from this repo to others
overnight (I have disabled the cron job for the time being).

Does anyone have the 0.9.14.15pre-1 version of darcs_cgi running well ?

I vaguely remember some talk about repository conversion. Should I have run a
conversion script as part of the upgrade ?
