I have code that parses date specs into 'CalendarTime' in my parser
for RFC 2822. It should be trivial to modify that to read darcs'
format. Just give me a minute ...

Personally, I would provide a converter to rename the patch files for
existing repositories. But either way is fine for me, I don't have
strong feelings about this.
