What's wrong with just using multiple repositories? Some more organisation
of the different "configurations" could also be achieved through the support
of meta-repositories, as I proposed in
<http://www.abridgegame.org/pipermail/darcs-users/2004-March/001245.html>
(but no-one seemed interested).
