Thanks for reporting this.  I believe this is already fixed... but not in
darcs 0.9.22, I think this was fixed after I released 0.9.22... checking...
yeah, it was fixed two days ago.  The code had been rewritten before that
without fixing the bug, or perhaps with introducing a new bug.
