Thanks for the extra details!

I think I've fixed this bug.  It was a bug in anyPS, which is why it took
me a while to find it.  All the escaping and printing code is sufficiently
complex that I expected to find it there.

It is rather entertaining... to more easily find this bug, I introduced
escaping of common vowels, so now all my a's and e's (in my development
code) are red and green respectively.  It's amazing how hard that makes it
to actually read the patches.  :)
