Or socat!

   READLINE
     Uses  GNU  readline  and  history  on stdio to allow editing and
     reusing input lines. This requires the GNU readline and  history
     libraries. Note that stdio should be a (pseudo) terminal device,
     otherwise readline does not seem to work.
