I just successfully converted a large (5 year development time, 60 MB
content, about 10000 patch sets) CVS repository to darcs.

The conversion went without a hitch, but it took almost a day. CVS was
very slow pulling out some older versions (sometimes about one second
per file), but darcs did not noticeably slow down as the number of
patches grew (first about one, later about two seconds per patch).

I have not yet tried working with this repository, but from these
results I don't expect any problems.

Good job.
