My two cents: I'm like idea of /not/ trying to do binary diffs. I like
the idea that my binary files are sitting somewhere in their complete
form. If I something goes badly wrong, I have some chance of recovering
a text file from various diffs. With a binary file, I have no hope.
For any binary diff solution that is chosen, my primary concern is that
it be /extremely/ reliable in terms of being able reconstruct files
from the diff. I would rather have no binary diffs than something that
"mostly works".
