[darcs-users] niggle for diagnostic improvement

Here's something I've also seen 'record' do: It begins to print output 
before it has checked for critical errors. So this happens:

Changes to Changes.lhs:


Fail: --last requires an integer argument.
#####

It seems better to check for critical failures first, and simply report
that and exit if there are any:

#####
Fail: --last requires an integer argument.
#####
