I've used a shell function as a shortcut for "darcs diff|colordiff",
since you only want to use that interactively.

A colleague of mine had problems when he used a darcs wrapper script in
order to always have colordiff output--he forgot about it and ended up
generating patches (for non-darcs users/source trees) that were full of
color codes.
