Hmm. Not really; you can't even set a file to be executable from Java.  The 
stdin input also is pretty non-intuitive.
Anyway; please read up on 'patch theory' and we are all waiting for your 
Java clone :-)    As a Java programmer myself; I'd welcome it so I can add 
some features myself when I find the time.
