Might the output of possibles be sorted?  It helps when the list is long
to work out what the acceptable minimum would be.  Also, there's the
handy `darcs '''.

    $ darcs r

    darcs failed:  Ambiguous command...

    The command 'r' could mean one of:
    remove record rerecord revert rollback replace resolve repair
    reportbug
    $ darcs ''

    The command '' could mean one of:
