pair.com has an old version of darcs installed (try darcs --version).
I don't think that it works with darcs 1.0.2. I exchanged emails with
their support staff and they do not plan to upgrade in foreseeable
future; they want to wait for a systemwide upgrade to a new version
of FreeBSD.
