Hi.  I'm a new user to darcs, I came in to help Mark patch up the Perl tests 
and I'm hanging around because darcs has me intreged enough to try it out.
I'd been a CVS user for years, switched to SVN in the last year to fix the
worst of CVS' problems and use SVK on top of that to allow distributed
development.  The extent of my distributed development is to leave my
SVN repository on a server and a local SVK mirror on my laptop for offline
work.

I've been reporting any rough spots I encounter in darcs to the bug tracker
but David asked that I start airing out things on darcs-users for full
discussion which I'll be doing.  Fair warning, I believe a loud, insightful
new user is a valuable tool for weeding out rough parts of the interface.
