I'm not sure how Mark did this before but I just had a play with the
Darcs bug tracker and think I found what you are looking for.

You have to set "Queue" to "Darcs" and the the custom field "Severity"
will become available in the search widget.

For example this url will search for any critical bug:

http://bugs.darcs.net//Search/Listing.html?
Bookmark=FrT%3B%404%7C%254%7C%241%7C4%241%7C7%258%7C%2411%7CDESCRIPTION%
245%7CFIELD%248%7COPERATOR%245%7CVALUE%2413%7CQueue%20%3D%20Darcs%245%7C
Queue%241%7C%3D%245%7CDarcs%2510%7C%2411%7CCUSTOMFIELD%2411%7CDESCRIPTIO
N%245%7CFIELD%248%7COPERATOR%245%7CVALUE%241%7C1%2430%7CCF.Darcs.%7BSeve
rity%7D%20%3D%20Critical%2419%7CCF.Darcs.%7BSeverity%7D%241%7C%3D%248%7C
Critical%241%7C9%241%7C0%241%7C0&TicketsSortBy=id&TicketsSortOrder=ASC&R
owsPerPage=50

If I then try to constrain the search to only bugs whose "Status" is
"Open" I get an error, the url is:

http://bugs.darcs.net//Search/Listing.html?

41%7C9%241%7C0%241%7C0&TicketsSortBy=id&TicketsSortOrder=ASC&RowsPerPage
=50

The error is embedded in the results table and reads "Fail:
createDirectory: does not exist (No such file or directory)".

I hope this helps,

--Terry
