Furthermore, if you don't want to have patches spanning different
"domains", then every domain should be its own repo IMO.  If you want
to "use" something from a different domain, set up a Makefile / hook /
whatever-is-appropriate-for-your-workflow that makes some symlinks,
hardlinks, copies etc..

P.S.: But I like the concept of a domain as a label for a set of files
      (or even lines?).  E.g., it might be attractive to say `darcs
      replace --domain foo old new`, with commutation behavior that is
      more flexible than the current one where we can only restrict
      the replacement to explicitly listed files.
