there's more than one type of regex, and i'm sure you know that. with this 
attitude towards documentation, darcs won't get the attention it deserves.

i agree with you on the fact that the darcs manual should not contain info on 
how to use regex, but i don't see why you mention this here. nobody claimed 
it should.
