[darcs-users] shouldn't darcs --external-merge back out if the external merger exits nonzero?

I've noticed that if something goes wrong with the external merge
program (crashes, wasn't found, etc), darcs moves forward rather than
backing out the current operation.  Is there any way to change this
behavior?
