[darcs-users] ask-deps transitivity behaviour opposite to what is expected

I had a darcs 2 format repo in which (as far as I can see) each patch
should implicitly depend on (at least) the previous patch
(incidentally, is there a way to get darcs to show what the
dependencies are?). I then added a new file and called darcs rec with
--ask-deps.

I initially said No to depend on the most recent patch, and then it
skipped all the others. Puzzled, I cancelled with CTRL+C and tried
again, answering Yes this time to the most recent patch, and then it
asked me about depending on all the other patches.

It seems to me that the behaviour should be the opposite: if I say no
to explicitly depending on the most recent patch, it should ask me
about the other ones, and if I say yes, it shouldn't, because of
transitive dependencies.

Can anyone explain to me what is going on here?
