Thanks Don, that seems to be the clearest thesis I've yet seen on the
subject. Certainly much more constructively useful than the header of
the current DarcsEvaluation wiki page...

I'm mostly just a modest (a ton of "small" repositories) user of darcs,
but as a user of darcs I'm very encouraged by the things that I've been
seeing with regards to darcs 2 and even just activity on this mailing
list, so I certainly don't entirely share the sentiment...

However, this seems a like a perfect conversation piece and let's open
this up as more general questions, because I'm fascinated what people
might think on this subject:

* What's the current direction of darcs?
* What direction should darcs take?
* Is there a lack of "energy" in darcs?
* If there is a lack of "energy" in darcs, what should be done to
promote it?
* If there is a healthy level of "energy", how best should that be made
apparent?

But, more specifically:

* How can darcs show to GHC a clear direction?
* How can darcs help speed development of GHC?
* How can GHC help provide a clear direction to darcs?
* How can GHC promote "energy" in darcs?

I certainly don't have any answers, but I'm willing to bet that just
having better questions out there might help refine the conversation and
aid everyone involved...

Maybe.
