Look: it is trying to fetch "../../../../../z:/darcs/F51".   
Presumably the right path would be "z:/darcs/F51" or "z:\darcs 
\F51" (probably either kind of slashes would work).

Where did it get the idea that it needed all those "../"?

Well, when you do "darcs push" without specifying a target repo on  
the command line, then it gets the target repo out of _darcs/prefs/ 
defaultrepo.  Could you please tell us what is in that file?
