Thanks! Does Trent's test case match your expectations about how darcs
should behave?  If so, Trent, could you attach this to the issue tracker
so we don't lose it?

If so and if this is a change to darcs semantics (as opposed to a UI
tweak), I recommend we hold off on this until we've had a chance to
study it more deeply.
