I should probably have mentioned that I did try that first, but I got:

darcs failed:  There is no file or dir named Resources/Adobe PDF
Reference.pdf in the repository.

...which is fair enough, because there wasn't (it was down as a remove
as soon as I physically mv'ed it). I should also have mentioned that
I'm using darcs 2.2.1 (release) on OS X Leopard. I'll try 2.3!
