Well, I would definitely be keen to see that error message become more
helpful.
One important thing to note is that the "bug in get_extra" could
indicate many things, one of them being that there actually is a bug
(hence the error message), but in practice many of them being mere
errors. We can't tell the difference.

If you could find a way to capture the things above into a better
error message, then great! That'd make Darcs a bit more usable :-)
