Sounds rather silly, doesn't it?  I would not rule out the possibility
(as I doubt the other explanation of one of the pulls taking longer than
30 minutes).

Any ideas, Lele?  Would it be easy to get a list of the darcs operations
that trac-darcs uses (and under what circumstances)?

Indeed it would be great if things we would expect to be read-only in
Darcs really are quite literally so.
