[darcs-users] darcs 2.4.2 planned for Monday 2010-05-03

Hi everybody [Windows users especially],

Just letting you know that we have made some progress on some Darcs 2.4
bugs and regressions [1,2]_

We plan to get a release of hashed-storage and Darcs out the door by
Monday evening, addressing the following issues (see
http://bugs.darcs.net/issueNNN for details):

Planned
-------
* 1823: mmap of '_darcs/index' failed [Windows]
* 1826: trouble building hashed-storage on GHC 6.12 [Windows]
* 1760: performance regression in darcs convert
* 1814: cabal test failure on contrib/darcs-errors.hlint
* 1824: PACKAGE_VERSION not defined

More testing needed
-------------------
We will need some more help after 2.4.2 is out to test the following
bugs

* 1761: mmap of '_darcs/index' failed on network drives
* 1831: permission denied on global cache
