Due to a cock-up on my part, Debian's darcs 2.4.4-1 has the _1 fix in
the orig.tar.gz, but patches it back to _0 at compile time.  That is,
Debian users will have empty --exact-version output.

Unless someone violently objects, I won't bother issuing a 2.4.4-2 to
fix this.  (If I have to issue a 2.4.4-2 for some other reason, I'll
make sure --exact-version works.)
